Forbo FloorCare Method for Static Control Flooring
Forbo Flooring is aware that the majority of the costs incurred during the lifetime of a durable floor come from its care and maintenance. This is why our Colorex flooring products have always been developed with special attention to easy and environmentally friendly cleaning methods and consistent appearance retention properties.
Initial cleaning (once)
Remove dust and loose dirt by vacuum or damp mopping. Allow the floor to dry.
Thoroughly dry polish with a low speed single disk machine and red pad. We recommend to perform two passages with crossing strokes.
If a shiny appearance is preferred, an additional dry polishing with a white or yellow pad can be performed. High speed is acceptable but not absolutely required.
Important notice for ESD protected areas (conductive floors):
The use of protective or maintenance coatings such as waxes, polymer dispersions and such may negatively affect conductivity. If at all desired, only specific products for conductive floors should be used.
Daily or regular cleaning
For small rooms or areas with light traffic: Wipe daily with impregnated single use tissues.
For large rooms or areas with heavy traffic: Spray clean with a low speed single disc machine and red pad. This cleaning method is also best suited to raised floors.
Periodic maintenance
For small rooms or areas with light traffic: Wipe the floor with a neutral cleaning solution and rinse with clear water. Twin bucket system is recommended.
For large rooms or areas with heavy traffic: a scrubber dryer machine is generally recommended for large areas. Clean manually where the machine cannot reach.
Colorex: The Repairable Surface
Deep scratches, holes, burns or other surface damage can be easily and effectively repaired, without leaving any visible trace or affecting the original characteristics of the floor.
