Reusing production waste
Many of the products in our project vinyl ranges contain up to 45% reused PVC production waste in their backing layers.

Renewable energy
Our use of renewable electricity continues to grow and now accounts for over 86% of the total electricity our manufacturing facilities consume. As a result we have now taken over 125,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide out of the environment since 2007.

Compliance Plus
As a principle, Forbo works to "Compliance Plus", a commitment set to our own standards that goes beyond the government regulations and standards. In addition, all Forbo's project vinyl ranges meet the European air quality requirements as defined by Agbb/DIBt.

ISO14001 Compliance
All Forbo's project vinyls are manufactured in sites certified to ISO14001.

Vinyl Plus

As part of our commitment to ensure we are as environmentally responsible as possible, Forbo is a founder member of Vinyl 2010, now known as Vinyl Plus, which is a voluntary organisation whose goal is to increase PVC recycling in Europe.

Vinyl Plus
Vinyl Plus builds on the achievements and results of Vinyl 2010, the first Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry.
